Description
Utilize different paint application tools to defend your latest artwork, Aria, against glitches in her computer file. As you progress through the stages new tools and enemies will be introduced as the gameplay becomes more and more frantic!
Version 1.1 includes updated art, new animations and effects, new interactive sequences and animations, new enemies, music, sound effects and a mountain of other changes and fixes. You can also still play a *mostly* unchanged Game Jam version through the options menu.
Another huge addition to this new version is a complete Japanese localization which was created with translations being provided from the Youtube streamer and indie gaming enthusiast Tsuneko. We look forward to even more people being able to enjoy our game!

History
One voice was originally created as a part of the 2023 GameDev.tv Game Jam. The theme for the jam was “Life in two dimensions” and the original game was made in ten days by PixelDrake and Zzzablo. Since then we have updated it a few times based on the great feedback and continued interest we received. We’ve made sure to preserve a mostly unchanged version of the original Game Jam game in the options too, using the original art for Aria, dialogue and somewhat unbalanced stages.
Some inspirations for the game play include bullet hells, rhythm games such as Osu and of course MS Paint!
Future Plans
There is currently no work currently planned for a version past One Voice v1.1, but we do have a mountain of ideas on how we could expand on the concept. This includes a few different characters who would have their own uniquely styled art applications, stories, gameplay mechanics and enemies.
While not implemented yet, a custom graphical level editor has been planned that would allow for the action to be mapped closely to music, giving a much more exciting gaming experience! This could even be added in-game to allow players to create their own levels.
We also have experience working with Live2D rigging, which could be integrated to give the characters more life if outside funding or publishing opportunities were ever offered.
